This former "tax office" was converted into a tavern for aristocratic hunters by Anton Britsch, the son of the purchaser. This marked the beginning of the future Britsch dynasty of innkeepers.

1977

Johann Britsch III. took over the village inn in the fifth generation.Hirsch“, which he converted into the current country inn in 1979 Hirsch expanded. The former tithe barn was preserved and still serves today as a rustic guest room and fireplace lounge.

1989

The development into a hotel-restaurant was initiated by Johann Britsch III. Hirsch The project was completed with the addition of a new building. This resulted in a comfortable hotel with superbly equipped studio rooms and all the amenities of refined hospitality.

1998

Restoration and conversion of our former stable building into a traditional event barn by Johann and Andrea Britsch. This unique venue offers the perfect setting for presentations, conferences, events, and celebrations of all kinds.

1999

The chestnut garden, which can accommodate up to 250 guests, was opened.

2002

Andrea and Johann Britsch celebrated their "25th anniversary as innkeepers".

2003

The sixth generation is fully on board! All three daughters have returned to the family business after completing their apprenticeships.
A new, larger parking lot was developed and construction began on the hotel extension.

2004

The country house with 32 new rooms and 4 new multifunctional meeting rooms will be opened.

2005

Hirsch's Bar and Café, built on the foundations of the terrace, opened in December.
The hotel receives the coveted 4-star hotel classification.

2006

HirschThe new restaurant terrace has opened. The seventh generation was born: Emilia Epple.

2008

An additional parking lot is being opened on Dorfstraße, so you now have up to 200 free parking spaces available.

2009

In December, our hotel and conference area will be expanded to include 18 state-of-the-art studio rooms and 3 multifunctional meeting rooms. A small but elegant spa area will be integrated into the top floor of our new building. The “HirschThe company celebrates its 175th anniversary. The seventh generation is joined by the birth of Maike Epple.

2010

In July 2010, the new reception area, featuring a spacious front office and lobby, was opened. The back office area for administrative tasks was also expanded.
The seventh generation gains a male addition; Johann Josef Christian Seidl sees the light of day in November.

2011

Construction of a modern high-bay warehouse for catering equipment. Acquisition of the "Genuss-Werkstatt" (Gourmet Workshop) at the "Oldtimerfabrik Classic" (Classic Car Factory) in Neu-Ulm.

2012

Extension of the breakfast kitchen to the living room with fireplace. Conversion from a sole proprietorship to a family-run business company with the name... Hirsch GmbH & Co. KG.

2013

Completion of our gourmet dining room and birth of Karl Anton Michael Seidl.

2014

Awards received: renewed 4-star hotel classification, Excellent Bavarian Cuisine, and revalidation of the environmental management system according to EMAS / DIN ISO 14001.

2015

Wedding of Sylvia Durst, née Britsch, with Alexander Durst.

2016

The seventh generation is getting reinforcements - Sophia Epple is born.

2017

Awards received: renewed 4-star hotel classification, Excellent Bavarian Cuisine, and revalidation of the environmental management system according to EMAS / DIN ISO 14001.

2018

Awarded the “Wilhelm Hübsch Prize” by the Swabian Chamber of Industry and Commerce for exemplary school partnerships.
Renovation of the hotel rooms in the main building

2020

Opening of the apartments by Hirsch - our new guesthouse with self-catering apartments and a fitness room for our guests.
Awards received: renewed 4-star hotel classification, Excellent Bavarian cuisine, Motorcycle-friendly establishment, and revalidation of the environmental management system according to EMAS / DIN ISO 14001.
